Jim Harshaw
Club Director/Coach
Harshaw was an All-American for the University of Virginia in 1999. Before coming back to Charlottesville he has served as the Head Wrestling Coach for Slippery Rock University and the Assistant Wrestling Coach for the University of Virginia. Jim brings a wealth of knowledge, experience, and motivation to the Charlottesville Wrestling Club.

Josh Walker
Assistant Coach
Josh Wrestled for Pennsylvania State University. At PSU, Josh was the Captain of the wrestling team and has posted over 62 career pins.

Steve Garland
Volunteer Coach
Head Coach, UVA. Steve Garland, a former All-American at the University of Virginia, enters his first season (2006) as the head wrestling coach at his alma mater. Garland served the last six seasons as an assistant coach at Cornell University, where he helped the Big Red to four consecutive top-11 finishes at the NCAA Championships. He spent the last four seasons as the top assistant under 2005 NCAA Coach of the Year, Rob Koll. Garland was named the 2005-06 NCWA Assistant Coach of the Year after helping the Big Red to a top-five finish at the NCAA Championships. He also is a member of the 50th Anniversary Atlantic Coast Conference Team.

Over the past six years, Garland helped the Cornell wrestling program move into the national spotlight. He has coached 17 All-Americans, four NCAA Finalists and 46 NCAA qualifiers.

Scott Moore
Volunteer Coach
Assistant Coach, UVA. Moore was a two-time All-American wrestler for the University of Virginia (2004) and Penn State (2003).
Pat DeGain
Volunteer Coach
Assistant Coach, UVA. DeGain joined the Cavalier coaching staff with a wealth of collegiate wrestling experience after enjoying a stellar wrestling career at Indiana. He turned in an overall record of 115-32 in four years of action as a Hoosier and capped of his career by placing third at Nationals to become an All-American.
