The Charlottesville Wrestling Club is mainly supported from private donations. Please read the following letter
from the CWC Club Director
Dear Wrestling Fan,
The Cavalier Wrestling Club serves wrestling at all levels: Scholastic, Collegiate, and Olympic.
We are writing to ask for your support!
CWC supports the Central Virginia and University of Virginia wrestling communities in several unique ways. Jim Harshaw, former UVA All American and CWC President, and Josh Walker, UVA Volunteer Asst Coach and CWC Vice-President, explain.
1. The Cavalier Wrestling Club hires staff to provide instructional opportunities for collegiate (UVA) and scholastic wrestlers via CWC. Current coaches include Jim Harshaw and Josh Walker.
2. The Cavalier Wrestling Club offers off-season practices in which UVA and scholastic wrestlers participate year-round.
3. The Cavalier Wrestling Club funds travel for UVA, post-graduate, and CWC member wrestlers to non-NCAA National and International competitions and training programs per NCAA Regulations.
Josh Walker serves as the UVA Volunteer Assistant Coach.
Jim Harshaw works with UVA wrestlers through the Cavalier Wrestling Club as well as through the University of Virginia per NCAA Regulations.
Your support will help CWC retain it’s current coaching staff, grow it’s staff for the future, and provide funds for wrestlers to train and compete.
This is our first “full” appeal for membership and donations for the 2006-07 Membership Year which runs through December ’07. Your $25 membership will provide you with 8 issues of the CWC Newsletter to keep you abreast of news relating to any of the collegiate wrestlers as well as the CWC youth, middle school, and high school programs.
